However, people in society have become increasingly accustomed to filling in tests and questionnaires over the last few decades, to the point where they often know what the ‘right’ answers are supposed to be.
So whether it’s a test to measure ‘safety culture’ in a power plant, attitudes to pollution amongst oil workers, or a test of job suitability, people can guess what answers to tick to get a high score with a fair degree of accuracy. You can even buy books that tell you how to succeed in these tests. Some of our clients have told us outright that they just don’t believe the answers they get any more, in the light of what they see happening on the shop floor or workplace.
HFAL are always developing new, challenging methodologies. We have even devised tests which are virtually impossible to cheat on.
